Total of 6 sessions were scheduled between 10:00 to 13:30 with Warm-up and Suryanamaskar by HSS Munich team, followed by Sugama Yoga by Yogesh Rao ji VHS Haar, Dhyana by Vijay Radhakrishnan from Universal Peace foundation, Hatha Yoga by Tara Gupta ji of Gayathiri Parivar, Nada Yoga by ISHA Foundation and an elaborate Pranayama session by Art of Living Kaushik Bhaskaran Madhuri Kalyan team.
The celebration of International Day of Yoga(IDY) kicked off in Cambodia in front of the iconic Angkor Wat temple in Siem Reap today. Yoga enthusiasts from all walks of life started gathering at Angkor Wat from 4 am in the morning. By the time the yoga gurus started leading the participants into performing common yoga protocol set for the IDY celebrations at 6.30 am, there were more than 400 souls moving in unison and flexing their bodies into different asanas.

Singapore today launched the idayofyoga.org/singapore portal by the High Commissioner of India to Singapore. Honourable Ambassador also inaugurated the Yoga area at the Changi Airport which will be operational for a month and will educate travellers on yoga tips for stress free travel.

The Embassy of India in Argentina, concurrently accredited to Paraguay and Uruguay plans to celebrate the First International Yoga Day in all the three countries on a big scale. In Argentina, the Embassy in collaboration with the provincial governments of 23 provinces of Argentina, the city government of the capital city of Buenos Aires, one important University and yoga school institution in each province will be celebrating the Day throughout Argentina. One million Argentines are expected to participate in the event. In the same way, preparations are underway in Paraguay and Uruguay where the Embassy will be represented by our Honorary Consul Generals. To mark the event and on demand of the people here, the Mission has published a Yoga Directory of some of the reputed yoga schools in the three countries. A digital version of the same will soon be uploaded on the Embassy´s web page and social media sites. Also, the Mission is actively using the social media to promote the event. A separate event page on the Embassy´s facebook page has been created in which all developments related to the celebrations is being posted, such as the launch of the IYD logo, the IYD Common Protocol etc. To commemorate the celebrations, after the event the Mission will publish a memoir with messages from all the major participants.
Embassy of India, Amman, Jordan will be celebrating the “1st International Day of Yoga-2015” on 21st June 2015 between 4:30 and 7:30 PM at InterContinental Hotel, Amman. Yoga demonstration, meditation, a short seminar/presentation and photo exhibition has been planned, in collaboration with local partners [Yoga institutes in Amman], to commemorate the event. Post the successful launch of the Yoga Portal at UNESCO last month by the Prime Minister, and in the run up to the first International Yoga Day, this Mission has taken the initiative to start Yoga classes at UNESCO. These classes have been a huge hit, if I may say so, targeting Ambassadors, diplomats and UNESCO's international civil servants, contributing enormously to an enhanced understanding of India's cultural and spiritual heritage, keeping Yoga in mind.
Embassy of India, Oslo, Norway is planning to celebrate inaugural 'International Day of Yoga-2015' on 21st June 2015 between 1100 and 1300 hrs in Telenor arena, Wideroeveien 1, 1360 Fornebu, Oslo, Norway. An open invitation letter has been written by Ambassador of India in Oslo addressed to general public to attend the event on 21st June 2015. The stadium can accommodate about 20,000 persons. The Mission has also written to Various Yoga schools in Oslo and University of Oslo requesting them to participate in the IDY-2015 and received positive feed back from them.
Mr.Bent Hoie, Health Minister from Government of Norway has confirmed to participate in the event. Mission is also in the process of roping in other Norwegian government functioneries and celebrities to attend the event.The event will be celebrated in partnership with Telenor.
Embassy of India, Budapest, organized the third Open AYUSH Day [Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy] on 19 April 2015, following up on the success of the previous AYUSH Days organized in May and September 2014. The event went towards raising further awareness about Ayurveda, Yoga and traditional / holistic systems of medicine of India in Hungary.
