Saffron is called Kesar in Hindi. It is an antioxidant. Due to this property, the intake of saffron increases the circulation of blood throughout the body. Saffron is rich in vital minerals like Vitamin-A, Vitamin-C and folic acid. Due to this saffron is also used in traditional medicines and body lotions. Saffron is a disease preventive that keeps the heart diseases at bay, while it maintains the blood pressure of the body. Saffron has properties that help in cell formation and cell repair because of potassium found in it. In addition to these qualities, saffron is very good for one’s skin. It also fights against hair loss. For this, it can be mixed in milk and applied on the bald spots. It enhances the skin glow and erases dark circles that develop under the eyes. Saffron overall is a really good herb which works towards the wellness of one’s body.
